6-year-old Logan & his dove “Spot”

Logan, a 6-year-old boy, lives with his Dad and Mom in Urbandale, Iowa. Recently, Logan and his Mom were playing basketball in their front driveway when they saw a mother dove trying to make a nest above a light fixture on their house. After a while, though, the wind picked up and blew the nest apart. To encourage the mother dove to keep trying to build a nest in their yard, Logan and his Mom went to their back yard where Dad had recently put out the bird feeders. The mother dove followed. After a little while, the mother dove decided to build her nest in one of Dad’s bird feeders! A few days later, Spot (as Logan had now named her) laid her eggs! She now sits waiting for them to hatch, under the close eye of Logan. Dad and Mom consider Logan the doves’ protector and a hero!
