Hummingbirds are fun, entertaining, full of energy and it’s easy to attract hummingbirds.

If they are inside your house, I doubt they are bird mites, which are very small, live near the birds, and need blood to survive.
If they are inside your house, on the windowsill, I would guess that they are fruit flies, drain flies, or whiteflies. They fly to the light of the window, and die there. Fruit flies often are brought home with fresh produce from the grocery store, and whiteflies are found on houseplants. If they are whiteflies, the silver larva can be seen scurrying about in the soil when watered.
At this time of year you might what to make sure that they are not termites. Because I really don’t think it is mites.
Assuming they are mites of any type, there are products you can purchase from a hardware store or pet store to spray on the affected area to rid of them.
