birds spill seeds of birdfeeder!!!!?

so i have two house shape bird feeders but the birds idk go @ it lol and spill the seeds all over then other just pick them of the Ground.
i know birds are picky but c’mon lol so the real question is what to do so mice wont try and feed there the feeders do i just pick them up every day? its kinda hard since they fall on the grass…….

Hummingbirds are fun, entertaining, full of energy and it’s easy to attract hummingbirds.
when birds feed they are real picky on the type of food you feed them. Most people by the cheap feed from one of there local dollar style stores, but the true to the matter is most of that feed is corn. Birds will toss any seeds they will not eat out to the ground. Now look at the main type of birds visit your feeders or the type you want to attract and purchase feed made for that type of bird(s). You will waste alot less and the birds will also clean up the other seeds on the ground. I use gourd bird feeders that we make because they offer more room for the birds to feed and they throw out less because of the walls around the open. Check out ors at http://www.gourdbirdhouses.org
