Northern Cardinals are celebrated for their lovely distinctive songs and their beautiful coloring.

They are typically found along the eastern coast of the United States, but have been spotted as far as Arizona and New Mexico.

If you want to awake every morning to the beautiful melodies of Northern Cardinals then you’ve got a little work to do in your backyard.

Do not worry, attracting Northern Cardinals with a bird house feeder is not so difficulta nd in just a short time, with a little effort you can be enjoying these great birds – and a host of others.

1. These birds prefer to feed from the ground so it’s best if you scatter their favorites (grain, cracked corn, melon seeds, raisins and peanuts) around your backyard.

2. A great way to attract these birds with little effort is by planting berry-producing bushes and trees. Mulberry, blackberry and dewberry are all excellent choices.

3. Make sure that you’ve got a bird bath in your yard. It should always be filled with clean water and consider installing a small fountain in it.

4. Northern Cardinals do not like other animals, so if you have dogs or cats that play outside regularly, you may want to restrict the area they inhabit, especially during nesting periods.

5. Planting wildflowers will attract small insects which Northern Cardinals need to feed their young.

6. Mount a feeder on low platform feeder in your yard and make sure that it has a sturdy room and that it won’t sway from side-to-side in the breeze.

Northern Cardinals are amazing creatures, so it’s no wonder you want to attract them to your backyard. Let’s face it, watching realitky birds in the wild in much more interesting than staring at a bird stuffed into bird cages.

There is something so relaxing – so soothing – about watching birds nest, feed and go about their daily lives. I get hours of pleasure watching the different species of birds make a home in my garden – and you can too.

Not only will you get the enjoyment of watching nature first hand, you will also be doing a great service. There are birds, in the winter months, that need an extra little bit of food to survive, there are migrating birds in the fall and spring months that need both food and shelter. And, of course, you can offer shelter during the mating and laying seasons.

There are so many different types of birds that we can attract and watch. We just need to understand what type of bird house to use and what type of food we will use in the bird house feeder. As they say – if you build it, they will come.

Do a little reseach as to what types of birds can be found in your local area and then you can decide the types of birds you want to attract. That will dictate the type of bird house you put in the garden (or window sill or whereever) and what type of feed you will use.

Certain species will only stay in certain types of bird houses and certain species will only eat certin types of food from specific type of bird house feeder.

For example, hummingbirds will be attracted to nectar type foods that you place in a hummingbird feeder but finches will need to be fed seeds from a feeder that is below the bird house perch as they feed upside-down.

Bird houses range in price from a few dollars to hundreds of dollars for hand carved masterpieces. Feed is very inexpensive. Both can be found online very easily.

You can start out very simply and cheaply by just getting a simple feeding tray and putting some feed out. You will soon discoiver what types of birds are in the local area. Of course, you also find out very quickly if you have squirrels around. They love bird feed.

There are plenty of solutions to combat squirrel issues so they don’t steal and spoil the bird’s food.

We suggest you use the resources on this site to do a little more research on birds, bird houses, bird house feeders and bird feeding methods.

Just enjoy our little friends and know you are doing a great service to yourself and nature.

woodworkingplanssource.com — 16000+ WOODWORKING PROJECT PLANS – FOR A DISCOUNT, FREE EXTRAS, AND INSIDE REVIEW CLICK THE LINK If you need to find a good set of woodworking plans, but don’t know where to start then sit down and buckle up because here I’ll discuss the details of making a decision about buying one of the most popular set of plans, Ted’s Woodworking. From finding the right plans for your skill level to making sure you can find all the materials and finally checking to see if you can actually complete the project I will go over everything you need to know. After reading through this article you will be able to make an educated decision on woodworking plans by asking the right questions for the job. Is your skill level really that important for woodworking? It’s pretty easy right? False. Woodworking is one of the oldest professions and hobbies and it has never been easy. From building birdhouses to buildings, the skill level of the plans you are working on are very important. Find out your skill level and get started on the plan that’s right for you. Are the materials required to be exactly as specified? Can’t I get a little leeway? Nope. All of the plans that are written up are specifically written for what you are building. You need the exact materials, exact amount of nails, and exactly the right hardware for getting the job done. The bill of materials should be precise and provide everything you need to know, including where you can buy the materials …
