finch feeder (digital)
July 6, 2010 Bird House Feeder
I setup a tripod about 2 metres from my feeder and zoomed in past the end of the optical zoom. As such, it’s a bit pixellated, but … good shots of American Goldfinch at my Finch Sock Feeder. Also, a sparrow shows up to dine.

Thistle seed works nicely. I’m not sure what’s in this one.
thistle seed mostly. they’ve migrated this time of the year (July) so have to wait for their return in November (?).
i bought one bag of “finch seed” which was not thistle – it was a mix but am not sure what was in it. eventually, the larger sparrows discovered my sock feeder and pecked holes in it, spilling everything.
