Hummingbirds are fun, entertaining, full of energy and it’s easy to attract hummingbirds.

Cardinals tend to visit feeders at first light and right at dusk, so you may have them, but you just haven’t caught sight of them at the feeders. They prefer black sunflower seeds, unsalted peanut pieces, grapes and other berries.
well different birds like different types of bird seed, and some bird seed bags even say what birds prefer that kind so check it out and find out what cardinals like and you’ll have some.
Try putting out some unsalted peanuts. Cardinals love them.
Cardinals like sunflower seeds, so you might want to try some of those.
Typically, cardinals are pretty skiddish though and can be difficult to attract. We (actually, my Mrs.) have several feeders around the house to attract different birds. Thistle seed, sunflower seed, wild bird seed, and of course, hummingbird feeders. It’s definitely a bird sanctuary around here.
Good luck!
I think Cardinals like sunflower seeds. Try some of those.
what kind of seed and feeder are you using. some feeders only allow access for smaller birds like tube feeders for finches. also cardinals love fruit and nut mixes so sometimes i will offer dried cherries and other berries along with black oil sunflower seeds and nuts. just becareful as this type of mix attracts squirrels too!
prepare a suet mixture of 1 box oatmeal, 1 block of lard, and 1 jar of peanut butter. Heat pnb and lard in micro until melted then add oatmeal…. Put into an easy removed container and set in freezer overnight. Cut into large pieces and put into a suet feeder… They love this ….
