How can i attract cardinals/blue jays over sparrows?

i pour the bird food in the bird house. i use cardinal/blue jay bird food (Black Oil Bird Seed). my damn birdhouse is dominated by these little sparrows. the feed is for blue jays and cardinals.

Hummingbirds are fun, entertaining, full of energy and it’s easy to attract hummingbirds.
It is hard to just feed one or two species of birds as many other birds will like the same seeds. You can put out whole unshelled peanuts for the Jays or a suet feeder, or peanut butter. The sparrows will not be too interested in these. Since black oil seeds are a favorite of Cardinals..you may still end up feeding sparrows.
