How to get a bird out of my house that has flown into a small cluttered closet?
May 30, 2011 Bird House Feeder
So we have a sparrow in our house and the bird has flown into our foyer that is two stories with a large chandelier and a very large second floor window. The bird was flying into the large window repeatedly so i got on a ladder and covered the window and the bird flew right past an open door and under a door into a small cluttered closet next to the front door.
I mad a "tunnel with the side of a folding table and some blankets to the door, but i don’t think it has moved and i don’t know what to do? please help! Thanks!

Hummingbirds are fun, entertaining, full of energy and it’s easy to attract hummingbirds.

try grabbing it with a cloth
Just leave the door open and stay away from the closet for a bit and the bird will fly out. Once out, you may try and catch it in a net or by throwing a lightweight blanket over it to catch and and release it back outside.
I would simply toss a towel over it to weigh it down then you can safely hold it and put him outside. If you can’t get a towel over him try using a butterfly or pool net to gently catch it.
Goodluck!
Shoo it to a place where you can catch it use a net or improvised net. Even a blanket will do, then do a catch and release. Or if you want to just kill it use a tennis racket.
sorry but idk..i lol everytime i hear birds
REASON : at night while we"re asleep a bird made a nest in my brother’s underpants which was at the cloths line
You can use a swimming pool net on a long poll to catch him.
open all doors and wait till he gets out eventually
I had the same thing happen to me in my house, easy fix. I know what this is going to sound like but a cluttered closet is a great spot for him to be. Because that means there is not a lot of places he can go and hide (far away from you that is). I have a LOT of birds in my house so I know what I am doing. If you have a broom, try to scare him/her through the tunnel. And if that does not work, take a plastic container big enough to hold him/her and just try to capture it.
Hope this helps!
