How to move a bird's nest that's in my house?
September 6, 2010 Bird House Feeder
I left the window to the a room on the second floor in my house open because there was great weather, and today I noticed a nest built in a box on my shelf. I can’t continue to leave the window open, so how do I move the nest outside where the bird can find it? Does it matter where I put it? There are no baby birds or eggs yet

Hummingbirds are fun, entertaining, full of energy and it’s easy to attract hummingbirds.

Just take the nest out and throw it away. Then shut the window. The parent birds will build another nest somewhere more sensible. Don’t worry it only takes them a day or 2
No, if you move the nest the bird won’t find it. Rather close the window for a couple of weeks.
The minute you touch it they wont use it anyway so you can go ahead and dismantle it. Just keep a screen on that window next spring so this doesnt happen again. I hope this helps.
