In building a birdhouse is it okay for the inside of the birdhouse to be larger than the specs? But the diameter of the hole is still the same as recommended. The hole above the floor is also the correct measurement above the floor. The height above the ground is also recommended.

Example: The Measurements call for: Bluebird: The housefloor is 5"x5" & The house depth is 8".

The inside of our birdhouse the measurement is 13" wide x 10" deep.

This …what seems to be a bluebird is …screeching…or yelling at my cat for 6 hrs now my cat is in front of the house and bird follows it.Cat is in back of the house and bird follows it .Cat is in the house and bird comes up to window and screams!.

Did my cat hurt her babies? Or their nest ?

I have never seen such a eager bird to make her point quite loud?

I have a bluebird house in my back yard that has 6 eggs in it. Just last week I was watching the momma and dad flying in and out of it. On Sunday I noticed other little birds, I think they were finches, flying in and out of it with pine straw. I looked in the house yesterday and noticed the other birds built a nest on top of the blue bird nest with the eggs still in it. I haven’t had time to watch and notice if the parents are still around. What should I do? Move the other nest out into a different house, or do you think it’s too late and the parents have abandoned the eggs?
