Someone C's a ladder left in the yard & says it's a safety problem, meaning?

I left a ladder in the yard, an extension ladder that has been along the side of the house for months behind some bushes. I used a wooden step ladder to remove a hanging bird feeder outside the kitchen window and I left the ladder leaning against the house. Someone called these safety issues. What do they mean? Are they, themselves, worried too much about safety, or bordering on paranoia?
the house is vacant, so vacant or not, people should not be on the property.
I could probably go roaming around people’s yards and get myself hurt, dog bite, etc. I should not be in anyone’s yard.

What types of birds are useful in eliminating mosquitoes? And how do you lure them to your yard?

I love working in my yard and have been hanging bird houses and bird feeders this year. I’ve really given no thought to particular types of birds though. Tonight I came inside because the mosquitoes were driving me crazy and it occurred to me that there is most likely some type of bird that eats mosquitoes…what are they and how do I get them to make my home their home?

Do squirrels go in bird baths?

Posted by Filed Under Bird House Feeder with 5 Comments

I’m looking to buy my mother a hanging bird bath for Christmas. However the squirrels in our backyard already love trying to get into her existing bird feeder and bird house, etc. My question is, might they try and jump from the tree into the hanging bird bath? Do squirrels even like water? We do try to keep the squirrels away from the bird area in the backyard but i wonder if the hanging birdbath would have any bearing on this?

The squirrels has torn down another one of my hanging bird houses… This is getting expensive.
Some where I heard you can put bird seed in a bag and hang it…
Thats in a certain kind of bag that the birds can get to the seeds.
What kind of bag could I use.
Any suggestions?

We have just got a nice playhouse with a window and now we want to get a hanging bird feeder for outside the window so they can sit inside the house and watch the birds. What type of feeder and food would attract the most birds? I dont mind if squirrels steal the food so long as my kids can watch.
