   This is not intended to be a wise @ssed answer but plant yourself some ‘birdhouse gourds’ and when they mature cut a entrance hole, use a wire to remove the seed and other stuff then hang them about. You will have ‘home grown’ birdhouses without equal. These seed are readily available at almost any seed and nursery business,

   Four walls (one with a hole in it), a floor, and a top that is on hinges (for easy cleaning).
