Would this work?
August 27, 2010 Bird House Feeder
Thought about this a few days ago, I’ve seen bird houses for various birds, basically standard backyard song birds and even ones for owls….thought of building a bird house for feral pigeons… or at least some kind of shelter and seeing if a pair builds a nest on the balcony of the town house I live in.
There’s a few pigeons that live in my neighborhood and I have read about pigeons who have built nests on people’s balconies.
Think a wooden crate used for shipping/holding wine would be a good ‘nest box’ for a pair of pigeons, also is there anything I can/should do to make it….more, appealing?
The crates are 100% and don’t have any opening on the sides.
They’re a good size and are a bit deep. I think they’d be big enough
no jokes please

Hummingbirds are fun, entertaining, full of energy and it’s easy to attract hummingbirds.

I have no idea how to answer your question about pigeons or maybe rock doves, but please check with your town house association if there is one, because they might have rules about bird houses, and bird feeding.
I don’t know. Pigeons seem to like to nest high off the ground and don’t seem to like being in a a small closed space. If you get it to work make a posting I’d like to try something for the many Eurasian doves I have around. I do know that they are ground feeders and very hard to attract to feeders.
